Who should consider brain donation: Individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease or Parkinsonism Unaffected family members of Parkinson's Disease patients Individuals with no neurological disorders Primarily brain banks are looking for neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Lewy Body disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease), Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS), and Alzheimer's disease. In addition brains from blood relatives - parents, siblings and children; and family members including spouses and partners are needed. Also brains of friends and the general population with no neurological disorders are needed as controls.
